Don’t remember me with sadness, don’t remember me with tears; Remember all the good times, shared throughout the years. Now I am contented, that my life, it was worthwhile; Because I know by loving you, that I made you smile. When you are walking down the street, and you’ve got me on your mind; I’m walking in your footsteps, only half a step behind. So please don’t be unhappy, just because I’m out of sight; Remember I’m with you, every morning, noon and night.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
